Peter & the Wolf

Special event for kids & families, performance of Pete and the Wolf concluding with an interactive Musical Instrument Petting Zoo. Monday, August 3, 3pm @ CMAC HQ.

Really Inventive Stuff is delighted to make their Creede Musical Arts Collective debut!

In 2005, Sara Valentine and Michael Boudewyns co-founded Really Inventive Stuff, a production company dedicated to creating playful, theatrical programs with symphony orchestras for young audiences; it has since become one of the most popular presenters of its kind.

Really Inventive Stuff’s signature production of Peter and the Wolf debuted in 2005; it was created for Maestro Rossen Milanov and New Jersey’s Symphony in C with Michael Boudewyns as narrator-performer. Sara Valentine designed the production and directed the staging. For over 21 years, Really Inventive Stuff has presented their vaudeville-inspired Peter and the Wolf 178 times with numerous orchestras in North America and aboard, including: Singapore, Winnipeg, Milwaukee, Saint Louis, Detroit, Seattle, Jacksonville, Princeton, Richmond, Indianapolis, Annapolis, New Haven, the Music Academy of the West, and seventeen performances with The Philadelphia Orchestra. The second half of the performance will include an interactive piece titled The Toy Symphony that will lead into a Musical Instrument Petting Zoo to end the afternoon. This performance will include a chamber arrangement of the piece for wind quintet w/ CMAC All-star, Maestro Steven Aguiló-Arbues on the podium.

Along with orchestra performances, Michael and Sara are hosts of a YouTube series celebrating noteworthy people and their remarkable achievements: Taphotopia.com

Sara is a Certified Antigym® Practitioner and the director of Centered Heart Collective, a collaborative space for holistic practices, classes and workshops. Sara will lead a vocal workshop at CMAC HQ the next day (Tuesday, Aug. 4).

Michael and Sara live in Maine with their sweet-faced cat, Pippy.
