Getting to Creede

We are looking forward to having you spend time with us in Creede and want to ensure your arrival goes as smoothly as possible.

There are a number of regional airports in the vicinity of Creede but you will have to drive the final way into town.
The 3 regional airports with commercial air service in the area are:
Alamosa: San Luis Valley Regional Airport - ALS (1.5 hrs.)
Gunnison: Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport - GUC (2.5 hrs.)
Durango: Durango-La Plata County Regional Airport - DRO (2.5 hrs.)

When driving into Creede, we do suggest arriving before sunset. Please be wary of wildlife and rocks on the roads and be advised that it can be difficult to receive cell phone service while driving along Hwy 149.

Lodging

Creede and the surrounding area have a variety of lodging/housing possibilities. We suggest booking early, as lodging is limited.
