LISTENING ROOM: The Little Mercies

The Little Mercies have quickly risen from local jam sessions to festival headliners in just two years, earning national recognition as Official Showcase artists for the Southeastern Regional Folk Alliance (SERFA) and finalists for the Freshgrass Awards. Known for their powerful vocal harmonies, twin fiddles, and deeply expressive songwriting, they deliver an authentic and exuberant live experience.

Multi-instrumentalist songwriters Bronwyn Chelette, Shanice Richards, and Rosalee Walsh unite a wide range of influences, from old-time and bluegrass to reggae, jazz, and folk, creating a sound that honors tradition while crossing genres. Their music has been compared to artists like Gillian Welch and the Carolina Chocolate Drops, while remaining distinctly their own.

At the heart of their work is a commitment to community. With backgrounds in music therapy, education, and healthcare, they bring interactive performances to a wide range of audiences, using music as a tool for connection, resilience, and joy.
